The story
“Without art I couldn’t have gotten clean, and I couldn’t have held on.”
N12, 2023Flat, bright figures: crowns, stars, skulls and hearts, and an alphabet he invented that nobody can read, himself included.
“I want to drop the audience’s jaws on the floor with my art, like a gun to the head.”
Time Out, 2017Self-taught. He began painting in recovery, and has painted every morning since. In 2018 the prison service asked him to paint the outer wall of the facility that once held him.
“I would dream paintings at night and get up in the morning and paint them.”
Maariv, 2018

“I painted on the wall of [the] detention center, where I was a permanent resident… It was a crazy closing of a circle, and the sign for me that I’m on the right path.”
